Dr. Girma is a game changer. I had been bounced from doctor to doctor trying to find a solution to my pain. I was in a bad accident and my leg was almost useless it hurt so much. Dr. Girma educated me, held my hand through the entire process, and ultimately helped me become functional! I am not pain free, but I can stand on my leg! My Dr. referred me to CKW when the clinic I previously went to became embroiled in a malpractice suit. The doctors are highly professional and caring as is the nursing staff. I was impressed that during every visit a doctor spent quality time with me before and after treatment. Moreover, one of the doctors always called to check on me later in the day. This type of quality care directly from the doctors is truly impressive. I can’t recommend the clinic highly enough.

I’m happy to share my very highest recommendation for Capitol Ketamine & Wellness. Everything about the experience was super professional, organized, kind, efficient, accommodating, and did I already say kind and compassionate. This is not my first ketamine rodeo, and while my first experience years ago had a generally good outcome, the CKW team was able to expertly refine and tune this current treatment plan and also the experience to my specific situation and needs. I couldn’t offer any thoughts to improve on my experience! So, here are some observations that I’d like to share: - This team of doctors and nurses are super knowledgeable and current regarding the use of ketamine for psychiatric purposes. They also are excellent team players in collaborating with patients’ existing healthcare providers. - I felt secure in the knowledge that the CKW team is a practiced ED team. Emergency physicians, IMO, by nature are team oriented, out-of-the-box thinkers with a can-do spirit. The CKW team’s positive approach applied to the setting of a ketamine infusion made getting to a positive outcome after 6 infusions possible, not to mention a strong start out of the gate with the first couple of infusion sessions. - The CKW team comprises exceptional communicators. They were very clear all the way along, from intake to treatment completion, about what I could anticipate or expect. Further, they were clear at the outset, as well as at points along the way, where we could evaluate whether the treatment was working and what adjustments or even alternative options might be worth considering. - I greatly appreciated all the doctors’ and nurses’ superior listening skills. I felt heard and seen at every step of the way. - This practice goes out of its way to accommodate patients’ scheduling needs. - The clinic itself is very nice, with patients’ and their family, accompanying partners’ or friends’ physical comfort at the front of mind. - Further, patients’ privacy is greatly respected and accommodated. The entire time of my treatment, not once did I see or become aware of other patients, but I know the other infusion rooms were occupied with other patients. Scheduling is expertly executed such that the timing of the visit and seeing to my treatment processes dovetailed with that of other patients. Last but not least, each of the CKW team members I encountered was extremely kind, warm, caring, and personable! Looking forward to continuing my journey with each of them.

Dr. Bloom and the team at Capital Ketamine and Wellness have changed my life for the better. My psychiatrist recommended I try ketamine two years ago, and it took me that long to muster the courage to proceed. Now, on the other side of treatment, I wish I hadn\'t allowed myself to suffer in silence for so long. I\'ve battled seasonal depression for years and this past winter was brutal. After trying multiple medications, three rounds of TMS, and weekly therapy for years -- with little relief -- the ketamine protocol reset my mood. It\'s helpful to set an intent going in to the sessions. I chose to focus on dealing with past trauma and in later sessions, creating a positive and supportive future. When the sessions were intense, Dr. Bloom was available to reassure me and adjust the treatment protocol based on my physical and emotional reactions. I never felt alone or frightened. The team of highly skilled nurses are compassionate and kind. Most (all?) of the staff are women which creates a safe environment for processing trauma and finding relief. I\'m going to continue with monthly \"booster\" treatments to minimize the risk of relapse and I\'m so grateful to be in Dr. Bloom\'s skilled and caring hands.

After a completing a very successful series of ketamine infusions, together with the Capitol Ketamine team and my separate mental health care provider, I decided to continue with periodic booster infusions every 4-8 weeks, depending on the season and the specific circumstances of my daily life.
